Dr. Yang Liu is the head of the Research Center and Chest Wall Trauma Surgery unit at ICWS and serves as secretary of the Chinese Chest Wall Surgery Alliance. During seven years of clinical and scientific work he has managed more than 4,000 chest wall cases and taken part in multiple international research collaborations on internal fixation removal and trauma reconstruction.

Dr. Liu focuses on minimally invasive correction of pectus excavatum and carinatum across all age groups, removal of failed fixation devices, and tailored solutions for rib/ sternal fractures. He has published over 40 SCI articles and led provincial and municipal research projects on hyperhidrosis and thoracic oncology.
