Surgical Overview
Explore the surgical case of a patient with chest wall defect, who had suffered from chest wall ulcers resulting from radiation therapy after breast cancer surgery. The ulcers failed to heal properly, ultimately causing a 7x7 cm defect in the left chest wall. The surgery involved excising all necrotic tissue, then using MatrixRIBs to reconstruct the bone structure, and latissimus dorsi flaps to repair the skin defect. The surgery was successful and achieved satisfactory results.
